Repeat performance

Minot High trailed early but battled back for a 3-2 win over Bismarck Legacy in the WDA Tournament title match on Oct. 1. The Magicians earned a top seed heading into next week's ND state tournament in West Fargo. It was the Magi's second consecutive title. Legacy, meanwhile, was playing in its first conference tournament championship and will be a No 2 seed at the state tournament.

Keeping the streak alive

Century and Bismarck High both earned WDA state qualifying victories on Saturday, Oct. 1 to extend its state tournament appearance to 28 consecutive years. Century  needed a late goal to snap a 1-1 tie en route to a win over Jamestown 2-1. BHS, meanwhile, needed a shootout-PK victory to advance. The teams battled to a 2-2 tie thru regulation and two OT periods.
