MANDAN -- The 2023 WDA baseball poll is out, and Minot High is the coaches' pick to win this year’s conference regular season title. The Magi received two first place votes. Defending champion Dickinson was second in voting and garnered four first place votes. Century was third and received two first place votes. Legacy finished fourth and collected one first place vote while Jamestown was fifth and collected the final first place vote. Mandan was sixth; Williston was seventh; St. Mary's, eighth; Bismarck High, ninth; and Watford City, 10th; rounded out the voting.
Some WDA teams may see their first action in early April while others await weather conditions to improve before beginning games. Teams are scheduled to play 18 conference games, but that is always subject to change due weather. Winning percentage is used to determine postseason seeding at the completion of the regular season.
Notes
This marks the 23rd season of WDA play...The WDA Tournament will be hosted by Jamestown, May 25-27...The Class A Tournament is hosted by West Fargo, June 1-3...West Fargo Sheyenne is the two-time defending Class A champion.
