MANDAN - Fargo Shanley edged Minot 1-0 in the state tournament quarterfinals, improving to 8-4-4 overall. Minot concluded their season at 9-4-4.

Andrew Schneider scored the decisive goal in the 63rd minute, assisted by Hayden Braun, to secure Shanley's advancement. Both teams displayed strong defensive efforts, with goalkeepers Simon Schwind and Ian Stewart each recording three saves.

Minot, despite their solid season, was shut out for only the third time this year. The game remained scoreless through the first half, highlighting the competitive nature of the match.

Fargo Shanley will face Fargo South, 1-0 overall, in the semifinals on October 17. Minot's season ends with a commendable record and strong performances throughout the year.
