MANDAN - West Fargo Sheyenne edged Bismarck Century 4-3 in the state tournament quarterfinals. The Mustangs improved to 11-3-2 overall, while the Patriots ended their season at 8-6-3.

Mamadou Barry opened the scoring for Sheyenne in the 25th minute with an unassisted goal. Even Breker extended the lead four minutes later, assisted by Micaiah Mukhtar.

Cale McEvers led Century’s comeback effort with a hat trick, scoring in the 62nd, 71st, and 78th minutes. However, Nayden Nammour's goal in the 67th minute, assisted by Kaiden Sexton, secured the win for Sheyenne.

West Fargo Sheyenne will face Grand Forks Red River (2-0 overall) on October 17. Bismarck Century's season concludes with this match.
