MANDAN - West Fargo Sheyenne secured a 1-0 victory over Fargo Shanley in a shootout to claim third place in the state tournament. West Fargo Sheyenne improved to 12-4-2 overall, while Fargo Shanley ended their season at 9-6-4.

The match remained scoreless through regulation and extra time, with both teams displaying strong defensive efforts. West Fargo Sheyenne's Bjorn Kaster was a standout in goal, recording three saves to keep Shanley off the scoreboard.

In the decisive shootout, Gunnar Skarphol led West Fargo Sheyenne by converting one of the crucial penalty kicks. Teammates Kaiden Sexton, Even Breker, and others followed suit, securing the win after a tense 19-player shootout.
