MANDAN - West Fargo Sheyenne secured a 1-0 victory over Fargo Shanley in a shootout to claim third place in the state tournament. West Fargo Sheyenne improved to 12-4-2 overall, while Fargo Shanley ended their season at 9-6-4.
The match remained scoreless through regulation and extra time, with both teams displaying strong defensive efforts. West Fargo Sheyenne's Bjorn Kaster was a standout in goal, recording three saves to keep Shanley off the scoreboard.
