DICKINSON -- Legacy secured its first win of the season, topping Dickinson, 3-1 in Western Dakota Association play on Thursday, Aug. 20. The Sabers have won their last nine matches against Dickinson.

Senior Sam Goldade opened the scoring 17 minutes into the opening half. The Mavericks' Tyreek Kirkew tied the score just one minute into the second half. However, the Sabers responded with two goals. Ray Roach earned the game-winning marker five minutes later. Eduard Ambraciuc capped off the scoring late in the content. Maverick keeper Parker Hilden was busy, making 12 stops. Legacy improved to 1-1-0 overall and 1-1-0 in WDA play. Dickinson's record dropped to 0-2-0 overall and in conference play. Legacy looks forward to facing Minot North, who is currently 3-0 overall, on August 27. Dickinson will prepare to meet Jamestown on August 25, both teams seeking their first win of the season.
