MINOT - Minot North edged out Williston 4-3 in a non-conference boys tennis match on Aug. 25 at Hammond Park, improving their record to 5-1. Williston remains winless at 0-6.
Minot North earned wins at No. 1 (Brayden Callahan), 2 (Lucas Griffith) and 3 (Reece Blikre) singles and clinched the match by rallying for a win at No. 1 doubles (Colton Griffith and Macsen Knittel). Williston had a strong effort in the loss. TJ Jundt picked up a win at No. 4 singles and the squad had a pair of wins in doubles (Igor Kovaleb-Winston Vestal) and Kipton Kelly-Maxwell Everett). Minot North prepares to face Mandan on August 27, while Williston looks forward to their next challenge against Minot on September 1.
