MINOT - Minot North secured a 5-2 victory over Legacy in a non-counter boys' tennis match on August 25 at Hammond Park. Minot North improved to 4-1 overall, while Legacy dropped to 1-4.
Minot North's Colton Griffith earned a hard-fought three-set win over Legacy's Braxton Spooner. Three more Sentinels posted singles victories (Brayden Callahan, Lucas Griffith and Macsen Knittel). Legacy's best efforts came in doubles where Connor Svihovec and Kevin Kalb won in straight sets at No. 1. Brexton Jones-Hoyt Ormiston earned victory at No. 3.
Minot North will face Mandan, who holds a 3-0 record, on August 27. Legacy will look to bounce back against Century, with a 2-2 record, on the same day.
