MINOT - Minot High scored a sweep over visiting Williston in a non-counter dual at Hammond Park on Aug. 25. The Magicians are 5-0 on the season while the young Coyote squad dropped to 0-5.
Minot High won all seven matches, but two of the four singles went a third set, showing Williston's scrappy play. Connor Ressler, Henrik Evanoff, Tyson Barden and Owen Sundahl were singles victors.
In doubles, Minot's top player Nolan Moore paired with Calvin Olson for a straight victory. Aiden Bye and Torston Beall won at No. 2 doubles. Blake Burckhard and Kaine Bertsch won at No. 3.
Minot will look to continue their winning streak against Bismarck on August 27, while Williston will have a chance for redemption in a rematch against Minot on September 1.
