Legacy defeats Williston, 6-3

BISMARCK - Legacy opened its conference play with a 6-3 victory over Williston on Aug. 28 at Sanford Sports Complex, improving to 1-0 in the WDA and 2-5 overall, while Williston fell to 0-1 in the WDA and 0-6 overall.
Legacy's strong performance was highlighted by victories in the top four singles matches. Connor Svihovec, Braxton Spooner, Kevin Kalb and Andrew Jones picked up wins.
Williston picked up singles wins by Chaz Bakken at No. 5 singles and Jace Peterson at No. 6 singles. The Sabers won matches at No. 1 and 2 doubles.
Legacy will look to continue their momentum against Jamestown (0-0 WDA, 0-5 overall) on September 1, while Williston aims to rebound against Minot (1-0 WDA, 6-0 overall) on the same day.
