Legacy gets top spot in preseason coaches' poll

BISMARCK – Bismarck Legacy collected five first place votes to lead all teams in the annual WDA baseball coaches' preseason poll. Minot High was second in voting and also picked up two first place votes. Dickinson also earned two first place votes and was third in vote totals. Mandan was fourth followed by Bismarck Century in fifth; Bismarck High, sixth; Williston, seventh; Jamestown, eighth; Bismarck St. Mary's, ninth; and Watford City, 10th. Coaches did not vote for their own team. Nine of 10 coaches participated in the poll. This spring marks the 24th in WDA-sponsored play. The regular season will begin, weather permitting, on Tuesday, April 2. The WDA conference tournament will be hosted by Minot, March 23-25. The Class A Tournament is in Dickinson, May 30-June 1.
