Podhradsky hired to guide St. Mary's volleyball program

BISMARCK – St. Mary's High School has announced the hiring of Alison Podhradsky as the new head coach for its volleyball program. Podhradsky, is no stranger to the Saints program, serving as an assistant for the past three seasons.  

Podhradsky's coaching journey began in 2015 in Lakota where she coached junior high volleyball and assisted with the varsity team. Her commitment to fostering young talent led her to establish a volleyball league for fourth to sixth graders. After returning to her hometown of Langdon, she spent seven years coaching while also teaching in the elementary school system. Most recently, Podhradsky was involved with the Capital Volleyball Club in Bismarck, where she continued to develop athletes at the club level.

With her extensive background, Podhradsky expressed enthusiasm about leading the Saints this season. "I am honored to begin my first season as head coach," she said in the school's official press release.  "While our team will be young this season, we are eager, motivated, and ready to compete." 

Podhradsky aims to build on the strong tradition of the St. Mary's volleyball program. The Saints are coming off a season where it posted a 4-27 season.
