Girls Swim & Dive: ND State Championships
Event Recap
WEST FARGO - Bismarck Century secured its 14th state title and third in a row at theND State Championships, November 14-15 at the Hulbert Aquatic Facility. The Patriots 322 score was well ahead of the field.
WDA rival Legacy was runne-rup with 208 points with Fargo Shanley close behind at 201 points. Other notable finishes included West Fargo Sheyenne in fourth with 180 points and Minot High in sixth with 167 points.
Madeline VerDouw of Bismarck High excelled, winning both the 200 IM and 100 breaststroke. Ellie DeForest also from Bismarck, took the top spot in 1M diving. Legacy's Brinley Steele claimed victory in both the 100 butterfly and 100 backstroke, while Williston's Dru Zander won the 100 freestyle.
