It was a clean sweep of the top five teams and the individual championship for the WDA at the state cross country. Williston edged Bismarck High for the top spot. It was the Coyotes' fourth state title in the past five years. Minot High was third followed by Century in fourth and Legacy in fifth. Century sophomore Ruby Ihmels won the individual title and six conference runners followed her to the finish. In all, 13 WDA runners finished with all-state honors (Top 20).
