DEVILS LAKE - In a commanding playoff opener, Devils Lake triumphed over Grand Forks Central with a decisive 42-7 victory, advancing their record to 9-2 overall and 5-1 in the Western Dakota Association. Grand Forks Central concluded their season at 4-2 overall.

Devils Lake's offense was led by quarterback Mason Palmer, who completed 11 of 14 passes for 202 yards and four touchdowns. Palmer's efficiency was complemented by Bryar Exner, who rushed for 133 yards on 27 carries, showcasing Devils Lake's balanced attack.

Defensively, Devils Lake stifled Grand Forks Central, allowing only 110 total yards. Weston Nelson contributed significantly with 89 receiving yards and a touchdown, while the defense forced two interceptions, including a crucial pick by Isaac Woodchull.
