GRAND FORKS - Mandan opened its quest for a state dual title with a 4-1 quarterfinal victory over No. 4 seed defeated Valley City at Wynne Courts. The Braves remain unbeaten on the season. Mandan advances to face Fargo North in the semifinals. Mandan was dominant in singles play. Jared Christen dropped just one game in a win at No. 1. Matthew Christen also won in straight sets as did Ben Sayler at No. 3. The doubles pair of Lucas DeRosier and Jack Koenig scored a big win at No. 2 doubles.
