GRAND FORKS - Down one set, Mandan doubles pair of Lucas DeRosier and Jack Koenig dug deep. And the pair gutted out what eventually became the decisive victory to send West Region champion to the state title match. The pair won 6-7 (6), 7-5 and 6-3. That come-from-behind win along with singles victories by Jared Christen and brother Matthew was enough for a 3-2 win on Oct. 8 at Choice Health and Fitness Center. The trip to the championhip is the second for the Braves' program which improved to 22-0 record.
Mandan will face East Region champion G.F. Red River.
