MINOT - Minot North's first trip to the state dual tournament ends with the program bringing home some hardware. The Sentinels capped off a good day, besting Wahpeton, 5-0, to claim fifth place on Oct. 8 in Grand Forks. The squad won four of five matches in straight sets. Key wins came at No. 1 singles where Colton Griffith defeated Watson Nagel. Brayden Callahan won at No. 2 singles and Lucas Griffith was impressive at No. 3 singles. The Sentinels finished 15-8 overall record. With the squad returning its key core of players next season, North should be in the mix for a WDA title.
